In 2017, Mr. O’Neil advanced to the role of Central Texas regional president, further broadening his responsibilities to encompass banks located in Austin, Corpus Christi, El Paso, Bryan/College Station, Waco, and the Rio Grande Valley.
Throughout his career, David has maintained active involvement in the communities where he and his family reside. He has held various leadership positions, including:
- President of the Wichita County Heritage Society, during the restoration of the Holt Hotel.

- Member of the Texas Bankers Association Board.
