Warehouse Clerk

Responsibilities

  • Manages initial receiving decisions to classify donations according to WFAFB coding strategies for optimal flow through Network to client. and distribution of food products to partner agencies of the Wichita Falls Area Food Bank.

  • Develop and implement procedures that achieve perpetual inventory control and accuracy targets using cycle count methodology for put aways.

  • Complies with the requirements as set forth by local, state, and national regulatory agencies in warehousing and safety.

  • Manages the sequencing of daily and weekly resources; delegates and adjusts work assignments to accomplish goals and targets. Follows established safe work procedures. Works efficiently inside resource constraints and pays rigorous attention to transactional procedures.

  • Monitor product expiration dates to ensure product quality

  • Provide technical assistance regarding warehousing, inventory, and distribution practices and ensures prompt responses to service-related concerns.

  • Removing product from inventory software that has been destroyed

  • Perform daily pick location audits

  • Weekly review of inventory overages and provide recommendations.

  • Double check picked orders at end of day

  • Assist with other duties as assigned by Warehouse Manager

  • Promotes food safety, personal safety and abides by AIB regulations.

  • Load and unload trucks with Food Bank equipment (Forklift/pallet jacks/ext.)


Qualifications


•    •    Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word; Excel; PowerPoint)
•    Skills in computer applications i.e., word processing and database management
•    Ability to present a professional demeanor under a variety of conditions
•    Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
•    Ability to supervise others and delegate appropriate tasks
•    The ability to meet deadlines while managing multiple projects
•    The ability to work independently as well as with a team
•    Excellent interpersonal skills
•    The ability to operate forklifts and pallet jacks (preferred)
•    Ability to lift 50 pounds comfortably and safely  
•    21 years of age with a valid driver licens

CDL Class B Truck Driver

Responsibilities


•    Driver will provide safe transport of various perishable and non-perishable food to those in need.
•    Employee must follow all driver laws and regulations required for safe travel.
•    Accurately fulfill orders to be delivered to clients. 
•    Accurately creating orders in NetSuite system. 
•    Lead a team of volunteers during an offsite distribution.
•    Follow Food Safety guidelines given by the Food Bank.
•    Monitor product expiration dates to ensure product quality.
•    Adjust Food Bank orders when product is returned from distributions.
•    Report any and all vehicle issues when conducting vehicle checks / walk arounds.
•    Other Inventory related duties
•    Will pick the orders in inventory software.
•    Load and unload trucks with Food Bank equipment (Forklift/pallet jacks/ext.)
•    Assist with other duties as assigned by Warehouse Manager 


Qualifications


•    Clean driving record with a class B driver’s license or equivalent 
•    Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
•     Some working knowledge of inventory systems (preferred)
•    The ability to meet deadlines while managing multiple projects
•    The ability to work independently as well as with a team
•    Excellent interpersonal skills
•    High degree of initiative, and the ability to work productively in a sometimes-chaotic environment 
•    The ability to operate forklifts and pallet jacks (preferred)
•    Ability to lift 50 pounds comfortably and safely  
•    21 years of age with a valid CDL driver license

Warehouse Associate

  • The Warehouse Associate will accurately and thoroughly fulfill inventory order requests according to established guidelines and the appropriate “pick” sheet.

  • Utilize conscientious and safe handling of all warehouse material handling equipment including pallet jacks, hand dollies and forklift in order to avoid personal injury to self, others and damage to product, equipment or facility.

  • Remain knowledgeable of current inventory and inventory levels.  Performs monthly inventory count, as instructed, by physically counting and accurately recording product quantity and type, notifying manager immediately of discrepancies or problems.

  • Maintain a clean, orderly and safe work area at all times including warehouse, grounds, bins and equipment; cleans up spills immediately; keeps walk areas and exits clear; locks and secures equipment and facility as required; notifies manager of problems or needed repairs immediately.

  • Demonstrates professionalism and speaks respectfully when interacting with staff, volunteers and the general public.

  • May perform other duties as assigned such as but not limited to pest control, furniture moving, helping with deliveries, etc.
