A charitable bequest is yet another meaningful way to give. Making a charitable bequest or "putting us in your will" is ideal in the following circumstances:

• If you have been giving to the Food Bank and want to ensure that the people you have helped - and others affected by hunger in the future - will  have their needs met after you are gone.
• If your concern over outliving your financial resources has restricted your charitable giving in life.
• If, by giving a charitable gift, you will reduce the estate tax burden on your heirs. A financial consultant or attorney can help you make this determination.
